Youth
Our Youth Ministries have been growing and expanding. We have programming for High School, Middle School, and Elementary School kids. During the school year our High School and Middle School youth groups meet regularly on Sunday evenings from 6-7:30. Throughout the year we meet for special events. Over the years we have camped out, we have gone swimming, we have gone ice skating, we have gotten together to watch movies, and to play games. These programs have focused on developing a sense of belonging and community with one another, as well as working together to improve our spiritual lives. Coming together to praise God and worship together has helped our groups to grow and our students mature in their everyday lives.
Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF)
CYF is for all students in 9th through 12th grade. We have in-depth conversations about how God is in our lives and how we go about showing others that how his teachings changed us. One of the greatest things that this group has done over the last five years is to send a group of students on a mission trip each summer. Our group has been to Tennessee, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts. In the Summer of 2008 we will be attending ICFY at Chapman University in California.
Chi Rho
Chi Rho is for all students in 6th through 8th grades. During our youth group time we learn more about God and the lessons he provided in the Bible. We take time to enjoy games and to enjoy a good snack each week. This summer we have a number of students who will be going on their first mission trip experience. Our Chi Rho is going to be traveling to Charleston, West Virginia to do mission work for a week. This promises to be an exciting and life changing experience for all of those who have heard God's call and answered his call.
JC Kids
Our 3rd through 5th graders get together once a month to enjoy fellowship with each other. Over the years we have gone bowling, had sleepovers, had craft days, and enjoyed numerous other activities. This is a great time to get to know other kids who share beliefs that are similar to your own. These kids are the future of our youth groups and we want to make sure that they know that we are looking forward to their participation on a weekly basis in the coming years.
